Our process is easy and efficient to ensure we can work hand in hand with our borrowers to deliver fast and efficient loans for their projects. 

We use a standardised approach but tailor each loan to the application and aim to be as flexible as we can in our underwriting process.

Our Process

Step 1 - Enquiry

Make an enquiry using our quick quote form on our website or by emailing us at loans@saxontrust.com. If you want to speak to a member of the team, give us a call on 0208 0641 681 between the hours of 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday (except bank holidays). 


Our team will aim to come back to you within 2 business days (normally within 24 hour) with any further information we require or to provide you with an offer in principal and our application form.  

Step 2 - Application

Once you're ready to proceed, just return your completed application form and arrange for payment of your valuation fee. Once payment is received we'll start our initial due diligence checks. 

Our application form is easy to complete and gives us all the information we need to work on your loan quickly and efficiently so we can get you to draw-down as soon as possible.

Step 3 - Assessment

Our initial checks will make sure that we have all of the right information and the loan meets our criteria.

We'll then instruct one of our panel valuers to conduct a RICS valuation. 

If you want to expedite the process, you can pay for our express service and we'll turn-around our assessment in one business day. You can also pay the legal fees on account early if you wish to start that process before the valuation is received. If for any reason the loan does not proceed, the unused

legal fees will be returned to you. 

Step 4 - Legals

Before our lawyers can start work, we will either need to hold the legal fees on account or your solicitor will need to provide an undertaking to our solicitor for the fees. 

You will be required to pay our legal fees for making the loan which will be in addition to any fees you need to pay to a solicitor acting on your behalf. Our fees are generally fixed if our standard documents and process is used and the matter isn't complex. If it is, we'll discuss the fees before proceeding.

Step 5 - Loan 

Once our legal ​team have completed their checks and are satisfied, we can move to completion. At this stage, we'll make one final check of all the information and ensure all of our requirements have been met. 

Drawdown can then take place and your funds will be paid to your solicitors on your behalf.
